Plaid, and more plaid.

Can’t say it enough. Pile. On. The. Plaid. Loving the plaid trends right now, especially during the holidays! Buffalo Plaid is a big trend, but basically anything incorporating red, white, black and green looks great around Christmas. I incorporated plaid for the tree skirt, tablecloth, tree star and our cute stockings. Christmas decorating

Keep the Traditions Going

Christmas is all about traditions. Keeping the old ones, and starting new ones, too. In my family, we collect nutcrackers, and nothing is better than seeing my family member’s faces when we add a new one to the collection! I also love personalized ornaments reflecting what time of life we are in. OTP had so many under $5, including a piece reflecting our last name. Christmas décor

Wood Pieces

My favorite thing about OTP is that their wall hangings look like one-of-a-kind pieces. I snagged the cute Christmas tree hanging under $20, and the chalkboard that I can use year-round for under $25. Plus another sign for $10 that I styled with the tree. Win. Win. Win. Tis’ the season! Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Mantel and Centerpiece Standouts

There’s no denying that your go-to for Christmas decor spots are likely your mantel, and dining room table. Don’t miss out on the little items that make a big difference! I love the small pieces that Old Time Pottery offers for less than $10, but still have so much detail and are really high-quality. I snagged this adorable galvanized (very trendy right now!) lantern for styling inside or outside. I used it to cover up the cords under the tree mixed with the presents! A very Merry Christmas tree ornament I also got this cute reindeer piece with textured metal that was only $6. Yep, $6! If you are looking for varying height pieces, I highly recommend grabbing tubes of their affordable ornaments in different textures, and then getting different sized glass vases. This would look STUNNING on a mantel with a mirror. See my vision yet? A reindeer Christmas decoration

Garland and Florals Make a Big Difference

I know we are in the south and it doesn’t always get cold, but bringing in those greenery pieces during Christmas brings all the cozy feels that weather holds! I love adding garland touches, cotton and pine cones to shelves, mantels, and dining tables. Trust me, this won’t go out of style, either. A farm house-themed sign for Christmas décor A frosted pinecone perfect for a Christmas tree This huge premade piece was only $30, featuring pinecones and berry branches. I snagged a solo berry branch for the tree for less than $6, and we also have a DIY tutorial on how to make your own garland how you choose!
